Welcome to the attic of my mind. Mind the stairs, click the light on and have a rummage around my thoughts on writing, the art of everything second-hand, the natural world, music . . . just about everything. Probably not much about sport.

I know!
For some reason, after a night of weird dreams involving elaborate film sets, I woke with the sound of Kenneth Willam's voice in my head.
Apparently, the Carry On crew shot C.O Cleo in the Pinewood studio set built for the original 1963 movie - rather wonderfully ironic and a great early re-cycling venture!
The Carry On films featured quite a lot in my childhood; many a wet Sunday afternoon spent sniggering with Mum, watching the likes of Hattie Jakes, Sid James, and my absolute favourite, Kenneth Williams.
Here he is being bloodlessly stabbed on the cardboardy steps of Caesar's palace and uttering one of the famous repeating gags from the film.
